January 2020.  Our Founder and Managing Principal, Dr. Keisha Hylton-Rodic, was recently nominated to serve as a member of Council for a four-year term, ending in 2024 for the Intellectual Property Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA).

The ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law (ABA-IPL) advances the development and improvement of intellectual property laws and their fair and just administration, and serves as the thoughtful source of information and commentary for policymakers as they consider intellectual property laws, regulations and proposed legislation. The section is respected and known as the premier resource for knowledge in this important and complex area of law.

October 2019.  Dr. Keisha Hylton-Rodic (our Managing Principal and founding member) was recently elected to serve as Vice-President of the Foundation for Advancement of Diversity in IP Law (formerly known as the American Intellectual Property Law Education Foundation (AIPLEF)) is a charitable organization whose mission is to increase the diversity of the IP bar by providing scholarships and mentoring to underrepresented minority law school students pursuing careers in IP law.

The Foundation was established in 2001 and partnered with the ABA-IPL, AIPLA, the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, and Johnson & Johnson (the founding corporation), thereby accessing resources of these organizations, including extensive study in, and commitment to, diversity within the IP law profession and infrastructure, vast contacts, and a wealth of knowledge in diversity.

July 2019.  Dr. Keisha Hylton-Rodic (our Managing Principal and founding member) was recently nominated for by the Board of Directors of the American Bar Foundation (ABF) to become a Fellow of the ABF. The Fellows is an honorary organization of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars who have been elected by their peers to become members of The Fellows. They have demonstrated outstanding achievements and dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession. Established in 1955, the Fellows support research of the American Bar Foundation. Membership in The Fellows is limited to less than one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by Fellows in their jurisdiction and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation.

April 2017.  Dr. Keisha Hylton-Rodic was recently recognized for her contributions to the American Bar Association (ABA), Section of Intellectual Property Law with the 2017 Recognition of Outstanding Leadership Contribution Award (Washington, DC)
